"Paul?"
I turn, recognizing a voice that I never thought I'd hear again. I gaze upon her face. I haven't seen it in more than a year. It wasn't that our breakup had been bitter; we had just lost touch over the months. Admittedly, I hadn't tried very hard to stay in touch. I had been the one who ended our relationship and I feel I had my reasons, both for breaking it off and for not maintaining contact. In truth, I haven't even thought about her in a very long time.

I smile and wave hesitantly as she approaches, "Jess! It's been a long time. You look good."

Devon and Michelle Part 1The cloudless sky was a beautiful shade of blue. Birds were twittering and flying joyfully about, enjoying the glorious weather. The rabbits, mice, and various other small inhabitants of the quiet park played in the verdant shadows or basked in the sunlight. She slowly backed away from him, trying to get a little distance between them. Hikari didn't know why but this guy, Tatsuya something, kind of creeped her out. She had seen him around the races the few times she'd gone so far. He usually had his little crew around him, the lot of them collectively trying to pick up women and often failing miserably.

"You think you can race. A bit full of yourself, aren't you?" He scoffed, "Girls don't race. You should leave that stuff to us men. God knows none of you are worth anything when it comes to racing."

I know it's been forever and a day since I did anything with this thing. Honestly, I kind of neglected dA for a very long time

. And now I'm finally coming back to it and found over 4000 deviations I'll need to sort through. I'm just going at it bit by bit.

Serves me right for watching so many people. But there's so much pretty art, I can't help myself ;.;.

Anyway, I'm trying to get back into the groove of writing somewhat. It's rough going, to be honest. I tried writing a few things but they were so unsatisfactory to me that I didn't want to bother posting them. Plus, it really would be nice to have some kind of thumbnail to post with my writings instead of the standard issue dA one

I'll keep trying to write something and if I stumble on anything halfway decent, I'll toss it up here. Sorry to my watchers (those who're actually watching, anyway). I'm sure you expected way better from the likes of me XD
